This secondhand pair is in very good condition, meticulously maintained to ensure both sonic excellence and visual appeal. The Paradigm 9 SE Mark II speakers boast an impressive 93 dB sensitivity, making them highly efficient and capable of delivering powerful sound even with lower amplification. With a 3-driver, 2-way bass reflex design, these speakers strike the perfect balance between precision and power. The quasi-3rd order resistive port configuration further enhances bass response, providing a robust low end without sacrificing clarity. This unique design allows the Paradigm 9 SE Mark II to perform beautifully as either a bookshelf or stand-mounted speaker, offering versatility in placement and adaptability to various room sizes.

Each speaker features a 1-inch polyamide dome high-frequency driver that produces sparkling, clear highs. This high-temperature voice coil with an aluminum former and barium ferrite magnet is optimized for a wide dispersion and maximally flat frequency response, resulting in lifelike, detailed treble without harshness. These high frequencies blend seamlessly with the dual 8-inch polypropylene cone mid/bass drivers, which are designed with high compliance suspension for an articulate, warm midrange and deep, impactful bass. The 25mm high-temperature multi-layer voice coil and kapton former, coupled with a powerful barium ferrite magnet, ensure these drivers perform consistently at high volumes without distortion.

The Paradigm 9 SE Mark II offers a frequency response of 60Hz to 20kHz on-axis and 60Hz to 15kHz off-axis, allowing it to accurately reproduce a wide range of sounds and adapt to various listening environments. With a low-frequency extension reaching down to 38 Hz, these speakers add a profound bass depth that enriches the overall sound profile, whether you’re listening to classical, rock, jazz, or electronic music. The 2kHz crossover frequency allows each driver to operate within its optimal range, ensuring smooth transitions and balanced sound.

Compatible with 8-ohm impedance and a recommended amplifier power range of 15 to 150 watts, the Paradigm 9 SE Mark II speakers are flexible enough to pair well with various amplifiers, allowing you to customize your setup to suit your personal preferences and room acoustics. The quasi-anechoic sensitivity of 95 dB in-room and 92 dB anechoic makes these speakers incredibly efficient, ideal for delivering room-filling sound with remarkable clarity and precision.

These speakers are also visually appealing, with a choice of finishes in Walnut or Black Ash, making them a stylish addition to any audio setup or living space. With dimensions of 28″ x 11.4″ x 13.75″ and a sturdy construction weighing 77 lbs. (35 kg), each speaker is built for stability and sound integrity, further enhancing the listening experience.

Owning a pair of Paradigm 9 SE Mark II speakers is an opportunity to enjoy a piece of audio history, embodying Paradigm’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sonic excellence.
