Primarily an in-store position focused on sales and customer service for audiovisual products within our prestigious showroom in Sydney’s North Shore.
Collaborate with a dedicated team of sales professionals and support staff, maintaining direct lines of communication with the General Manager and sales support Staff.

You will commit to a structured full-time schedule, which encompasses a fixed roster that includes working on Saturdays. Our operating hours span from Monday to Friday (9:00 am – 5:30 pm), extending to Saturdays (9:00 am to 5:00 pm). This allows for a weekday off in exchange for Saturday work, ensuring you maintain a well-balanced work week.

About You:

Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced  to join our premier Audio/Video (A/V) company located in Sydney’s North Shore. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the A/V industry, with a strong focus on A/V system integration, network programming, and home automation. The candidate’s expertise in working with technologies such as Savant, RTI, distributed video, and home automation systems will be highly valued. An electrical background is desirable, as it will contribute to the comprehensive understanding of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Execution: Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from initial client consultation to project completion. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets that align with client requirements and company standards.

Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project. Understand and translate client needs into technical solutions, providing expert guidance and recommendations.

Team Leadership: Oversee a team of A/V technicians, programmers, and other project stakeholders. Delegate tasks, provide mentorship, and foster a collaborative environment to ensure project success.

Technical Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of A/V technologies, including Savant and RTI control systems, distributed video systems, and home automation solutions. Leverage this expertise to design, program, and troubleshoot complex A/V installations.

Network Programming: Possess strong network programming skills to ensure seamless integration of A/V systems into clients’ existing network infrastructures. Configure and optimize network settings for optimal performance.

Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure all A/V installations meet industry standards and company expectations. Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.

Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered within the defined scope and financial constraints.

Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical diagrams, programming code, project schedules, and client communication. Ensure that all project-related information is organized and easily accessible.

Collaboration: Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical insights and expertise during the pre-sales phase. Assist in creating comprehensive proposals and project scopes that align with client needs and company capabilities.

 

Qualifications:

– Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the A/V industry.

– Strong proficiency in working with A/V control systems, particularly Savant and RTI.

– Experience with distributed video systems and home automation technologies.

– Solid network programming skills, including configuration and troubleshooting.

– Electrical background or understanding is a plus.

– Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

– Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

– Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

– Strong organizational and time management skills.

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The successful applicant must hold a current Class C driver’s license and hold full work rights in Australia.

Must have a working knowledge the Audio Visual Custom Installation industry, including Distributed Audio, Theatre, Control systems, automation etc. Will require a drivers licence.

Duties:
You will be part of a team involved in a variety of diverse projects – ranging from the simple installation of a TV screen and soundbar through to working alongside some of Australia’s leading architects on fully automated homes.
