The SA-11S3 features a new SACD two-disc mechanism and a High Current Audiophile D/A Converter, enhancing audio detail significantly. It’s built with a double-layered bottom and a thick, attractively sculpted front panel, housed in a copper-plated chassis for added stability and noise reduction.

Digital Processing: It uses Marantz’s proprietary Dynamic Digital Filtering technology, which provides two different filters to tailor the sound to user preference, enhancing detail and sound stage for both CDs and digital signals. This technology was originally developed for professional recording studios.
- DAC and USB Input: The player incorporates a high-performance DAC with Marantz Musical Mastering for upsampling digital audio feeds. It supports four digital inputs: USB-A, USB-B, and both optical and coaxial S/PDIF. The asynchronous USB input can handle up to 24-bit/192kHz PCM signals.
- Analogue Output: The analogue output stage uses Marantz HDAM SA2 modules, which are discrete components aimed at providing a fast transient response, low noise, and high-quality sound reproduction.
- Headphone Amplification: There’s a dedicated headphone amplifier using HDAM SA2 modules, allowing for high-quality private listening with adjustable volume from the front panel.
