Introducing the Majik LP12 with Krane Arm – A New Standard for Vinyl Playback

kRANE tONE aARM

The Majik LP12 with Krane arm provides a robust and elegant foundation for high-quality vinyl playback, ensuring that every detail within the grooves of your records is delivered with clarity and depth. At its heart, the Majik LP12 is fitted with a sandwich-construction aluminum sub-chassis and Linn’s patented single-point Karousel bearing, offering the stability and low-noise performance necessary for a vibrant listening experience. The custom-engineered Majik power supply, conveniently fitted inside the turntable, provides consistent speed and minimizes noise, setting the stage for dynamic and reliable playback.

Key Components that Define the Majik LP12 with Krane Arm
Majik Sub-Chassis

The Majik sub-chassis is an essential feature of the Majik LP12, crafted to provide the foundation for superior sound. This sub-chassis is built with a multi-layer construction of 1.5mm thick aluminum, designed to offer both strength and rigidity. Combined with the five-layer laminated armboard, the Majik sub-chassis minimizes vibration, creating a stable, acoustically damp platform. The result is a remarkably quiet background, allowing the smallest musical details to emerge from the record.

Solid Base for a Sturdy Platform Linn Solid base

Standard on the Majik LP12, the Solid Base delivers a fixed, rigid platform for your turntable, ideal for placement on a shelf or cabinet with built-in vibration isolation. For those seeking additional isolation, an upgrade to the Trampolin base board provides integrated vibration isolation, further enhancing stability and detail in playback. Manufactured from high-quality aluminum and directly affixed to the wooden plinth, the Solid Base ensures that your Majik LP12 remains securely supported and optimally positioned for pristine performance.

Majik Power Supply for Consistent Playback Linn Power supply

Linn has designed the Majik power supply with audiophiles in mind. This low-noise motor control solution, located within the turntable, provides stable, consistent power that is essential for high-fidelity sound reproduction. The power supply reduces motor judder, which stabilizes the platter’s speed at a perfect 33⅓ rpm, guaranteeing precise timing. Switching to 45 rpm is also straightforward, using the provided adapter. This consistency in speed and minimized noise ensures that every record played on the Majik LP12 meets Linn’s high standards for sonic performance.

Krane Tonearm – Elevating Precision and Performance

Included with the Majik LP12, the Krane tonearm brings impressive accuracy and build quality to the turntable. With its static-balanced design, this tonearm allows for precise cartridge alignment and control. Crafted with high-quality aluminum and stainless steel, the Krane’s construction is robust yet refined, including low-friction bearings for smooth operation.

The Krane tonearm also features a polished tungsten and sapphire vertical bearing and a ceramic horizontal bearing, both chosen for durability and ultra-low rotational mass. The result is a fluid, stable movement that ensures even the most subtle details are captured. Additionally, the Krane’s adjustable headshell and laser-etched VTA scale provide customization options, allowing you to tailor the tonearm alignment to match your setup perfectly.

Adikt Moving Magnet Cartridge – Capturing Every Musical Detail Linn MM cart

The Adikt moving magnet (MM) cartridge on the Majik LP12 is designed for high performance and versatility. With its efficient MM configuration, it offers excellent sound detail retrieval, competing with more costly moving coil (MC) designs. The Adikt’s rigid body and Gyger II replaceable stylus enhance its ability to reveal a finely detailed sound signature, delivering a clear, dynamic representation of your music collection. Ideal for audiophiles who value both performance and accessibility, this cartridge is an essential component of the Majik LP12 experience.

Personalization Options – Make Your Majik LP12 Uniquely Yours

Linn understands that an audio system can be a personal statement. With the Majik LP12, you can customize the turntable with laser etching, allowing up to four characters for a personalized touch. Available in various finishes, your LP12 can be as unique as your music collection. This customization option is available by special order and may require an additional 8-12 weeks for delivery.

A Modular Design for Future Upgrades

One of the Majik LP12’s most valuable aspects is its fully modular design. This means that your turntable can evolve over time, accommodating future upgrades to enhance its performance. Linn offers three pre-configured options for the LP12, allowing you to start with the Majik and later upgrade to the Selekt or Klimax models as your audio preferences and system expand. This flexibility ensures that your Majik LP12 remains a lasting part of your audio journey.

A Legacy of Quality with Linn

Linn Lp make it your own

Linn’s journey began in 1973 with founder Ivor Tiefenbrun’s commitment to revolutionizing hi-fi sound. His creation, the Sondek LP12, demonstrated the profound impact a well-engineered turntable could have on an audio system, emphasizing the importance of quality at the source. Over the years, Linn has continued to push boundaries, with the LP12 remaining a performance benchmark in the industry. With more than fifty upgrades introduced since its inception, the LP12 continues to stand as a symbol of Linn’s dedication to precision and excellence.
