A Masterpiece of Sound and Design
The Sonus faber Sonetto VIII G2 continues the brand’s tradition of combining meticulous craftsmanship with advanced acoustic technologies. The 3-way system features high-end quality drivers designed to deliver exceptional clarity and dynamic range. The 1.1″ DAD™ (Damped Apex Dome) tweeter with a copper shorting ring ensures crisp high frequencies, while the 6.5″ Camelia midrange driver, housed in a unique cork chamber, produces rich, natural mid-tones. The two 8″ woofers, equipped with aluminum demodulation rings, deliver deep and controlled bass, creating a full-range listening experience that is both powerful and refined.
The Sonetto VIII G2’s advanced Phase Coherent Crossover design ensures that each driver operates in perfect harmony, delivering a seamless soundstage with precise imaging. This level of phase synchronization allows listeners to enjoy music with a heightened sense of realism, as if they were in the presence of the performers themselves.
Natural Sound Philosophy
Sonus faber is known for its Natural Sound philosophy, and the Sonetto VIII G2 is no exception. Embracing the brand’s “Voice of Nature” design, the Sonetto VIII G2 is built with organic materials like cork, wood, and leather. The cork chamber used in the midrange driver enclosure enhances sound clarity and eliminates unwanted resonances, while the wood and leather accents lend the speaker a luxurious, natural aesthetic that blends seamlessly into any living space.
The Camelia midrange driver, inherited from Sonus faber’s flagship Suprema series, features an innovative design inspired by the shape of the Camelia flower. This unique shape eliminates resonances typically found in circular drivers, allowing for a more accurate reproduction of midrange frequencies, which are critical to the overall natural sound signature of the Sonetto VIII G2.
Stability and Performance
Sonus faber has introduced a new concrete base in the Sonetto G2 series, designed to enhance the stability and performance of the speakers. This solid foundation minimizes vibrations and unwanted resonances, ensuring that the drivers can perform at their best. Whether you’re playing complex orchestral pieces or bass-heavy tracks, the Sonetto VIII G2 provides a stable, distortion-free performance in any listening environment.
Elegant Italian Design
In addition to its exceptional sound, the Sonetto VIII G2 features a stunning design that is both functional and elegant. The iconic lute-shaped cabinet not only enhances the acoustic performance by reducing internal resonances but also makes a bold visual statement. Finished with premium materials like wood, leather, and concrete, the Sonetto VIII G2 exemplifies Sonus faber’s dedication to craftsmanship and aesthetic beauty. Available in Walnut, Wenge, and Piano Black finishes, this speaker is designed to complement any home décor.
