Introducing the PS Audio AirLens Streamer, a groundbreaking solution that transforms the way you experience streaming audio. In today’s world of digital music, services like Roon, Tidal, Qobuz, and Spotify offer instant access to millions of tracks. However, connecting your sensitive DAC to these digital sources through computers, routers, and network devices often introduces unwanted noise, jitter, and EMI interference. The PS Audio AirLens Streamer eliminates these issues with advanced galvanic isolation and precision reclocking, delivering an impeccable streaming experience. With the AirLens, streaming music has never sounded so good.
The AirLens addresses a critical challenge in digital audio: removing noise from the signal path. Traditional connections, such as USB from a computer or Ethernet cables, often allow noise to seep into the system, degrading sound quality. The AirLens uses a unique design that isolates its input stage from its output stage through a process known as galvanic isolation. By physically separating these stages and using separate power supplies, it ensures that no unwanted electrical noise reaches your DAC. The input and output stages are connected only “through the air,” providing a noise-free digital signal that is second to none.
With the AirLens, you can enjoy crystal-clear streaming from various sources, including Roon, Audirvana, JRiver, Tidal Direct, and more. Its Digital Lens technology plays a pivotal role in delivering precise timing and low-jitter signals to your DAC. Digital audio relies heavily on accurate timing, and the AirLens achieves this through a variable RAM buffer that stores incoming data and reclocks it before sending it to the DAC using a high-precision, low-jitter clock. This process ensures that your DAC receives the cleanest possible signal, resulting in a level of transparency and realism that truly sets the AirLens apart.
Why is galvanic isolation so important? In most audio systems, common power supplies are shared between input and output stages, allowing noise from the input to transfer directly to the output. This noise is then amplified by the DAC, degrading sound quality. The AirLens overcomes this challenge with a specially designed low-noise, galvanically isolated DC-to-DC converter, which powers the output stage independently from the input. This means that any noise from your computer, network, or WiFi is completely blocked, preserving the integrity of the audio signal.
The AirLens provides versatile connectivity options to suit various setups. It supports both Ethernet and WiFi connections to integrate seamlessly with your home network. On the output side, you can connect your DAC via coaxial (RCA) or I2S (via HDMI), ensuring compatibility with a wide range of high-end audio systems. The AirLens can handle PCM up to 384kHz and DSD up to 256 (4X) in both DoP and native modes, making it ideal for high-resolution audio enthusiasts.
When you use the AirLens in your system, you’ll notice an immediate improvement in sound quality. By eliminating the noise from computers, long Ethernet runs, and WiFi, the AirLens delivers a level of clarity and depth that rivals local file playback. The Digital Lens technology further enhances this by removing timing errors that can cause jitter, resulting in an immersive, natural sound that brings out the finest details in your music.
The PS Audio AirLens Streamer is more than just a streaming interface—it’s a complete upgrade for your audio system. Its ability to reclock and isolate digital audio signals makes it the perfect companion for any DAC, allowing you to hear your favorite tracks with newfound depth and realism. Whether you’re streaming from a NAS, enjoying Roon’s extensive library, or listening to the latest releases on Tidal, the AirLens ensures that every note reaches your ears as the artist intended.
Key features of the AirLens include:
- Galvanically Isolated Input to Output: Complete separation between input and output stages eliminates noise.
- Digital Lens Reclocking Technology: Ensures a low-jitter, stable digital signal for your DAC.
- Wide Compatibility: Works with Roon, DLNA, Tidal Connect, Spotify, and more.
- High-Resolution Support: Handles PCM up to 384kHz and DSD256.
- Versatile Outputs: Coaxial (RCA) and I2S (via HDMI) for connection to any high-end DAC.
If you’re looking for a way to elevate your streaming experience, the PS Audio AirLens is the solution you’ve been waiting for. Its unique design removes the barriers to achieving high-fidelity streaming, making it a must-have for audiophiles who value uncompromised sound quality.
