We are proud to announce that Len Wallis Audio received the award for the ‘Best Integrated Home – Level 111’ at the CEDIA awards held in Melbourne last week.
There is a lot more to the Custom installation industry than meets the eye, particularly at the top end of the market. The biggest hurdle is that every single job we undertake is unique. There would not two identical installations in the world unless we are cookie-cutting an apartment complex or housing estate. The possible combination of brands across the various audio, visual, lighting, air conditioning/heating, motorised blinds, security etc disciplines that need to talk to each other is beyond belief. Add to that the fact that almost every building is different in terms of construction and design. Finally, and most importantly, every client has their own set of desires and expectations.
Every project we undertake starts with a blank sheet, and every solution is tailored to the individual!
While it is expected that every job would turn out perfectly, it is both wonderful, and testament to those involved, when a project such as this comes together as brilliantly as this. This was a particularly complex installation spanning 2 years. It incorporated many levels of automation across numerous technologies, and involved design, draftsman, programming, project management and installation staff.
If you are looking to install something as simple as a multi-room audio system, or perhaps an automation installation as complex as this one, it is important that you get the design right to start with, and that the system is then installed correctly. Once the walls are up, the painting is finished, and you have moved in it is usually too late to rectify any mistakes.
